FAQ: Billing

Where can I find our invoices or get a copy of an invoice?

The City Salon account owner can log in to their City Salon account, then click the 'Billing History' tab at the top of the screen. All the invoices ever posted to the account will be listed there.

What is an account owner? How can I change the account owner on my account?

The City Salon account owner is a person who manages one or more City Salon listings. The account owner is the only person who can up/downgrade plans, change credit card billing information, and remove listings.

Accounts themselves cannot be given to new owners, but control of a City Salon listing can be transferred to another account. To change the managing account for a City Salon listing:

  • Log in to your City Salon account and click the 'Dashboard' tab at the top of the screen.
  • Click the check-box next to each listing you want to transfer.
  • Click the 'Transfer Selected Salon(s)' button at the bottom of the page.
  • Enter the email address (login name) of another valid City Salon account.
  • Click the 'Change Owner' button.

Control of the selected listings will be given to the designated account.

How do we update or change our credit card?

Credit cards are stored for each salon listing; this allows you to use multiple credit cards for the salons in your account. To change the credit card for an account:

  • Log in to your City Salon account and click the 'Dashboard' tab at the top of the screen.
  • Click on the name or image of the salon whose credit card you wish to change.
  • Click the 'Submit' button on the bottom of the page.
  • Click the 'Update Billing Info' button on the bottom of the page.
  • Update your billing cycle and card information, then click the 'Submit' button.

Note: If you have changed the plan type for a salon, the 'Update Billing Info' button will not appear. In this case, the 'Submit' button will take you to the billing info screen.

How do we cancel?

Accounts themselves can not be canceled, but City Salon listings can be canceled and removed from an account. To cancel a listing:

  • Log in to your City Salon account and click the 'Dashboard' tab at the top of the screen.
  • Click the check-box next to each listing you want to remove.
  • Click the 'Remove Selected Salon(s)' button at the bottom of the page.
  • Verify that the correct listings have been selected.
  • Click the 'Confirm Delete' button.

Note: There is no automated undo for cancellation. Once a salon has been canceled, all the information will be automatically deleted. To restore a canceled salon, you will need to contact an administrator at support@city-salon.com.

How do we upgrade or downgrade?

The account owner is the only person who can upgrade or downgrade a City Salon listing. To upgrade or downgrade an account:

  • Log in to your City Salon account and click the 'Dashboard' tab at the top of the screen.
  • Click on the name or image of the salon whose listing you wish to change.
  • Select a new plan type in the 'Plan Type' box.
  • Click the 'Submit' button on the bottom of the page.
  • Click the 'Submit' button on the bottom of the preview page.
  • Update your billing cycle and card information if desired, then click the 'Submit' button.

Upgrades and downgrades take effect immediately. Your salon billing cycle will be automatically adjusted to use the rest of your days at the new rate. You will not be charged until the end of the adjusted billing cycle.

What is the refund policy?

City Salon offers a free 30-day trial on new paying accounts (Standard, Enhanced, and Premium). Your first charge will come 30 days after you originally sign up. If you cancel before this first charge, you won't be billed at all.

If you cancel after you are billed on day 30, no refund will be issued and you will be charged for the rest of that month. For example, if you are billed on the 18th of every month and you cancel on September 24th, you'll still have to pay for the entire current month (September 18 - October 18 in this case). You won't be charged again after that. Accounts that begin as an upgrade from a free account do not qualify for the free 30-day trial.

You are responsible for whatever charges have been incurred. In order to treat everyone equally, no exceptions will be made.

How does the 30-day free trial work?

There are two ways to try City Salon for free.

1. Sign up for the 30-day trial. This plan is free forever but does not provide you with a featured or premium listing.

2. Choose a paying plan and you can try City Salon for free for 30 days. You can cancel any paying account within 30 days of signing up and you won't get charged at all. After 30 days, you'll be charged for that month and start being billed monthly.

Note: You need to stay on the plan you initially selected to try City Salon for free. Once you change your plan, billing begins. Of course, you can still cancel at any time. You'll just have to pay for that month.

What if I cancel within 30 days after upgrading from a free account to a paying account?

If you upgrade from a free plan to a paying plan, you do not qualify for the free 30-day trial. The 30 day free trial is only available on new accounts. For example, if you sign up for the free plan and then you upgrade to a paying plan 12 days later, you will immediately be charged for your first month. You will continue to be charged every month after that until you cancel your account. You can always cancel at any time.
